Copyright & Takedown

Last updated: 2026-10-17 · Version 1.0

We respect the rights of creators. StringSong's songs and art are AI-generated (see the AI & Content Notice), but if you believe something in the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, tell us and we will act quickly. This process follows the notice-and-counter-notice model of the US DMCA, and we apply it to notices from any country.

1. Sending a notice

Email [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:

  1. your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
  2. a description of the copyrighted work (or other right) you believe is infringed, e.g. a link to the original;
  3. exactly what in StringSong you object to (song title, singer, album, and the link or a timestamp if possible);
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that this use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
  5. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
  6. your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).

Please do not send a notice you know to be false. Misrepresenting infringement can make you liable for damages.

2. What we do

  • If the notice is complete and credible, we remove or disable the content normally within 2 working days, and tell you what we did.
  • Because our content is produced by us, there is usually no third-party uploader; where a user is affected (e.g. a removed song in their playlist), it simply disappears from the app.

3. Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed by mistake, reply to the same address with your contact details, what was removed, why you think the removal was a mistake, and your signature. We will look at it, may ask the person who sent the notice to respond, and will restore the content if the notice turns out to be wrong.

4. Repeat infringement and other rights

We remove content that is repeatedly shown to infringe. For concerns that are not about copyright (for example trademarks, likeness or a voice that sounds like a real person), use the same email; we handle them the same way.
