Laundromat Slow Dance

Quarter in the dryer and a magazine
Fluorescent lights and a vending machine
You walked in with a basket of socks
And my heart started spinning like the dryer clocks

Nobody here but the hum and the heat
So I hummed a little tune and you tapped your feet

Slow dance in the laundromat
Spinning round like a summer hat
Soap bubbles and a radio
Baby, this is how the love songs go

You lost a sock and I found it under my chair
Pink and yellow with a hole somewhere
You laughed so loud that the attendant stared
Just a couple of strangers who didn't care

Nobody here but the hum and the heat
So I hummed a little tune and you tapped your feet

Slow dance in the laundromat
Spinning round like a summer hat
Soap bubbles and a radio
Baby, this is how the love songs go

Fold it up, fold it up, take it home
Now I'll never wash my clothes alone

Slow dance in the laundromat
Spinning round like a summer hat
Soap bubbles and a radio
Baby, this is how the love songs go
